Freelance Work

the devil is a dialogue

My professional work as a freelance researcher emerges from an interdisciplinary background in art history, environmental history, and ethnobotany—as well as a desire to work on diverse and interesting projects. I have worked as a research assistant for curators, artists, museums, art dealers, and physicians. (Full CV available upon request)

Research work typically culminates in the creation of books or other published texts, so I also do work as an editor and editorial assistant, with a specialized history working on artist monographs. I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association. My editing services include:

  • Book project management and developmental editing
  • Copyediting, proofreading
  • Fact-checking
  • Scholarly bibliographies (CMS, MLA)
  • Image procurement
